  • Reporting faults and errors: Misleading and inexplicably cruel headline
  • Description: Headline reads "Japan's tsunami-ravaged towns forgot wisdom left by their ancestors centuries ago". Variants of the word "forgot" were used in newspapers around the world. The headline has no relevance to the actual article, a beautiful piece about how the tsunami warnings are taught in schools, all Tohoku children are familiar with them, and how they are linked to other ancient traditions that saved countless lives after the quake.
