- Reporting faults and errors: Not so much fearmongering as AC himself being a huge coward...
- Description: Quoting a Japanese article on foreign coverage:
In a live back-and-forth [from Japan] with a nuclear expert back in the studio in America, Cooper peppered his fellow reporters with questions like “How far are we from Fukushima?” and “Which way is the wind blowing?” Upon hearing that he was more than 100 kilometers distant from the Fukushima reactors, he exclaimed “Then shouldn’t we get out of here?” Whether he was doing this in order to build a sense of drama, or out of sincere apprehension, we don’t know. But what is clear is that he made no attempt to calmly ascertain the facts of the situation, and in so doing needlessly fanned the fears of the audience.'

- Reporting faults and errors: Article is not news but is made to seem like it is
- Description: A
seemingly accurate report of a normal incident that occurs hundreds of
thousands of times a year: low-level radiation detected on a plane
due to medical isotopes being transported in the cargo hold. It's not
news-worthy. There was no reason for this article to have been written
at all, other than that it allowed them to stick on a scary-sounding
headline. Reporters should know better.

- Score: 7

- Reporting faults and errors: Badly titled as "Grace, Cooper discuss Japan's recovery" since the two just keep on talking how bad the situation is and in the end, Nancy Grace wants Anderson Cooper in sunny Tokyo to come home immediately.
- Description: Overly melodramatic tone throughout the report 1) 50 workers compared to modern day Kamikazes 2) NG accusing Japanese government of being "extremely euphemistic" then laments that "people are given only a golf ball-sized rice to live off per day": while AC's report continues, the NHK World footage in the background shows survivors at shelters where a handful of lunch boxes and drinks are being distributed. 3) AC "wants to throw something at the screen when Japanese officials' press conference is on".. then just like NG begs in the end, he decides he should go home.

- Reporting faults and errors: Japan becomes 30km long
- Description: Article states "The now 19-day-old crisis at the plant has spread radioactive contamination across much of northern Japan." This claim is false according to all available data sources.

- Reporting faults and errors: Claims "The right of journalism on public street" but footage clearly shows that they went up the doorstep and tried to get inside the door of private property, a dormitory for TEPCO employers.
- Description: We wonder how the reporter's family will feel when without a warning, a TV crew who pretends that they don't understand their language suddenly appears on their doorstep. Such rudeness is unwanted in a time like this when extra police force are sent to Tohoku region and these 6 Tokyo policemen could be doing something more useful.
If CNN really want comments from the employees, why not ask politely to the press division at TEPCO?
